Lost Ark Goes Big on Steam; Over Half a Million Concurrent Players

Lost Ark enjoys tremendous interest. At the hottest moment of the release day, the game was launched by more than half a million players.

Yesterday, the highly anticipated Lost Ark debuted in the West. It should come as no surprise that MMORPG from Smilegate and Tripod enjoys considerable interest. However, the scale of its popularity could probably surprise even the creators themselves.

For now, the game is available only to users who have purchased the so-called Founder's Pack. It is available in several variants and enables us to launch Lost Ark earlier. A huge number of people decided to make this move, which is reflected in the activity results registered by SteamDB.

Lost Ark in numbers:

  1. According to SteamDB, 532,000 people launched the game at the hottest moment of launch day;
  2. Lost Ark is also enjoying a lot of interest on Twitch. At one point the game gathered over 1.2 million viewers;
  3. The MMO can also boast extremely good user reviews on Steam;
  4. Currently, 96% of the game's reviews are positive.

The current results make us wonder how big numbers we will see in two days. On February 11, the game will be available in the free-to-play model to all players.

This may also raise considerable concerns. The previous release for selected users has already caused some technical problems. The servers getting stormed by an even larger masses of players may prove to be quite a challenge for the developers.

For now, however, the developers can celebrate, because they have delivered a title that not only enjoys huge interest from players, but is also widely praised.
