What is Lost Ark praised for?

Reviewers praise the gameplay above all. The game has an excellent combat system, interesting progression and crafting mechanics, and a well-balanced difficulty level. Moreover Lost Ark is characterized by high quality of execution.

The successful combination of action RPG elements with the MMORPG layer is also receiving good reviews. In addition, the game has a huge and diverse content and a virtually endless endgame, which is due to the fact that the English-language version debuted many years after the Asian one.

What is criticized in Lost Ark?

Strong grind and the presence of pay-to-win elements, enabling us to buy things which make it easier to succeed, are criticized. Moreover, the game in some aspects has been censored compared to the Asian original (you can read more about it at here), and the beginning of the game is supposed to be a bit dull compared to what happens in the later stages.
