The independent RTS Manor Lords is taking shape. The founder of Slavic Magic is eager to share the behind-the-scenes of the creation of his charming game.
Manor Lords from Slavic Magic is an independent strategy that combines RTS elements with a charming historical setting. The studio's founder, Grzegorz Styczen, recently shared a handful of interesting materials documenting the creation of the game.
Inspired by reality
On his social media accounts, the creator of Manor Lords recounted his journey through the historic land of Franconia (now southern Germany), which serves as the main inspiration for the game's fictional, quasi-medieval setting.
The photos presented by Styczen, when compared with early screenshots from the game, enabling us to see and appreciate the numerous references that guide him in creating the title.
Joys and pains of independent gamedev
Slavic Magic is also eager to publish images and behind-the-scenes footage from the game's development process. Showing the picturesque space of the game, the screenshots can arouse considerable admiration and certainly build excitement before the full release of Manor Lords.

In addition to the progress of the work, the developer is also eager to share funny situations related to the game's creation. A humorous theme running through the last few posts is the thread of a mysterious bug that maliciously interfered with the appearance of NPCs.:
"And now we're back to looking for that mysterious bug that makes women go bald for some unexplained reason."

Although Manor Lords has not yet received an official release date, the release of the game is still planned for 2023.. The developer's activity in social media and the reported dynamic development of the title suggest that the upcoming game hides a lot of potential.
