Marvel's Spider-Man PC Launch on Friday; Release Schedule

The release of the PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man is just around the corner. On this occasion, Insomniac Games has shared details related to Spider-Man's debut on PC.

This coming Friday will certainly be a day of rejoicing for many PC gamers who have not had the opportunity to play Sony's exclusive Marvel's Spider-Man until now. Fans of the iconic superhero, after a long wait, will get a chance to play the game on their PCs. As there is not much time left until the PC version's official debut, we decided to gather the most important details related to the release in this news. The following text will serve you as a kind of cheat sheet.

Detailed release schedule

Let's start with the dates. At the beginning I already mentioned that the title will be released this Friday. We also know the exact time when the game will be available for download on Steam and Epic Games Store. According to Insomniac Games Marvel's Spider-Man will debut on August 12 at 8 am PDT. System requirements

The issues of the release are settled, so let's move on to technical details of Marvel's Spider-Man. PC gamers certainly won't be able to complain, as the will be bale to enjoy the following features:

  1. no frame rate limit;
  2. support for Nvidia DLSS and Nvidia DLAA technologies;
  3. support for ultrawide monitors (16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9);
  4. improved shadows and reflections (ray tracing).

However, just to be clear, the aforementioned features will need quite a powerful hardware. This does not mean that owners of weaker devices will not have the opportunity to play the game, but they will have to give up ray tracing, among other things.
