Need for Speed 2022 - Leaked Map, Screenshot and Gameplay

NFS 2022 videos have leaked online. They show, among others, the game map and a short gameplay fragment.

Materials from the next Need for Speed game have been leaked to the web. Their source is ynk, an informant known in the series' fan community. He shared his findings on the Discord channel dedicated to the series.

Among these materials there was a map of the game world. Recall that according to earlier rumors action of the new NFS will be set in Lake Shore City, a fictional version of Chicago.

The second image is a fragment of a screenshot from the game. On Reddit many players believe that the buildings visible on it resemble those in Chicago.

The final piece of the leak was a two second long gameplay snippet. It was quickly deleted from Discord, but you can find copies on YouTube.

Both the screenshot and the gameplay are very blurry, but they should whet fans' appetites for the official announcement of the project.

According to earlier reports, the new NFS is to be released this year on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. The game is developed by Criterion, the studio responsible for the Burnout series.

According to some rumors NFS 2022 is to be modeled on the classic Need for Speed: ProStreet. It is worth returning to the latter. In terms of gameplay nothing has aged, and problems and technical imperfections can be fixed with fan mods:

  1. Generic Fix - improves gamepad control, removes the frame rate limit, adds fuller support for high widescreen resolutions, and fixes a number of bugs.
  2. NFSPS HUD Adapter - adjusts the HUD to any resolution, including those added by mods.
  3. NFSPS HD Reflections - improves reflection effects.
  4. NFSPS Extra Options - enables us to configure graphics and gameplay beyond what the official menu offers.
  5. Windows 10 Fix - a project for people who are having problems running the game on the new Windows.
