Representatives of Ubisoft were interviewed by The Mako Reactor. They talked about the development of Prince of Percia: The Sands of Time Remake. The new Sands of Time will be brought to the PC through the work of company branches located in India.

The PC port is to offer the same possibilities of tinkering in game settings as other major Ubisoft titles. There will also be support for 4K resolution.

The remake will provide the ability to adjust the difficulty level. It is worth noting that in the original version of the game there was no such option. However, the developers want all players to enjoy the renewed adventures of the prince. The combat system has also been changed, undergoing a slight modernization. One of the representatives, Pierre Sylvain-Gires, noted that the development team has done a good job creating new, acrobatic moves.

The producer pointed out that the work on the title focused on immersion. The camera movement is supposed to reflect how dynamic the gameplay is and provide subtle transitions between combat, platforming and other elements of the game, including time manipulation. The interview has emphasized several times that it is a remake paying homage to the classic, but at the same time adding to it what is necessary in acontemporary game. What is more, the most talented developers from the studio in India are working on it.

The launch of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will take place on January 21, 2021. The game will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Thanks to backwards compatibility, it will also run on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles.
