New spy RPG announced from Disco Elysium co-creators. In Project C4, we will take part in a ruthless, secret fight for truth and influence
Studio ZA/UM has announced its next game after the well-received Disco Elysium. The new RPG will focus on spies and the mind.

Studio ZA/UM (Disco Elysium) announced a new game: the spy RPG, Project C4.
The Estonian developer released the first graphics and teaser and shared information about this project - one of the two that the studio is allegedly focusing on after the turmoil of recent years.
In Project C4, we will take on the role of an operator working for an entirely unsuspected "global power" in a world teeming with competing geopolitical forces. The protagonist will quickly become entangled in the "struggle for truth and influence" between powerful players, risking his life or revealing his identity.
The physical world will need to yield to the mind, which is "more susceptible and in some ways more powerful" than material reality. The announcement mentioned that in the world of Project C4, the mind can be "erased, changed, reorganized and of course significantly transformed" with the help of psychoactive substances.
Besides, the developer promises "deep dialogues," emphasis on introspection, and clashes in which dice rolls will play a significant role. So, in short, everything that players loved about Disco Elysium. The development is handled by Siim "Kosmos" Sinamae, one of the original devs of DE, who remained in ZA/UM (along with Jim Ashilevi, who co-writes the C4 script).
During the closed conference, the developer's inspirations were also confirmed: it's the fantastic works of Stanislaw Lem and Ursula K. Le Guin (including Solaris and The Left Hand of Darkness), as well as the crime novels of John le Carre.
