Notepad in Windows 11 Will Get Night Mode

Notepad in Windows 11 will also get night mode. The new look can already be evaluated by participants of the Insider program. Microsoft cares about the eyes of users sitting in front of the computer at night.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Microsoft is working on a dark skin for Notepad - a trial version has been made available to testers of the Insider program.

Microsoft is getting on board with the trend of taking care of our eyes (and ears) while interacting with screens at night. Windows 11 has a night mode, and the good old Notepad will get one too. Participants of the Insider program can already check how the program will look like with darker interface.

The choice of appearance for Notepad will probably be useful for coders or enthusiasts of reading TXT files. In addition to the skin, the program received a redesigned search and replace mechanism, as well as support for multi-level undo actions. The new features can be tested by Insiders on the developer channel.
