Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm Release on Switch this Fall

The RPG developed by Cornfox & Brothers, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, was originally released exclusively for Apple Arcade, but is now making its way to the Nintendo Switch.

Yesterday, developer Cornfox & Brothers released a trailer announcing that their game Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm will arrive on the Switch this fall. The game was originally released on September 19th of last year, but it was exclusively on the video game subscription service, Apple Arcade. Apparently that exclusivity is coming to an end.

The game has been compared to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and for a good reason: they both emphasize RPG elements, fighting monsters, and exploring worlds. In the trailer, the character even sports a light blue shirt much like Link’s iconic Champion’s Tunic.

But this game does have one thing that Zelda fans might envy: a handgun.

If you are worried that this is a sequel, you don’t have to. The game is actually a prequel, taking place one thousand years prior to the first game in the series, namely Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas.

If you can’t wait to get your hands on some world exploring RPG action, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm releases for Switch sometime this November.
