Only 2% of players have unlocked this annoying achievement in Baldur's Gate 3, yet it’s actually easy to get and takes less than 30 minutes

It’s not about defeating a hidden boss in BG3 or rescuing some random NPC. It’s something much more trivial.

The rarest achievements are meant to be the most difficult to earn, that's the whole idea. In Baldur’s Gate 3, you’d probably think the toughest one is Foehammer, since it means beating the game in Honor Mode. But surprisingly, it’s not. Turns out the most uncommon trophy in BG3 is actually tied to something even more demanding than permadeath, stronger bosses, and no save reloads.

The least-earned achievement in BG3 isn’t what you think

As of now, only 2.6% of players have unlocked the Foehammer trophy in BG3, but Busker is just 2.4%, making it the rarest achievement in the whole game. So, what’s it all about? To get it, you have to earn 100 gold by playing an instrument in a single playthrough. But the problem is, NPCs barely throw any coin when you perform, so most people just give up.

And I don’t blame them. It feels like a ridiculous grind when there are way more interesting things to do, like looking for a hidden companion, a spellcasting sheep (yes, that’s a thing), or discovering the deadliest weapon when combining a specific mace with a curse. There are always clever tricks to weaken or defeat bosses (like Auntie Ethel) that make performing over and over just to earn a little gold feel like a chore.

For reference, my rarest achievements are Leave No One Behind (5.6%) and Crash Landing (7.2%), and now I’m chasing Punch Drunk, where you have to defeat twenty enemies while drunk. I don’t have time for tedious activities that take forever!

Aat some point, I was half-convinced the devs either forgot to include an easier method, or no one had discovered it yet. But here’s the thing: it’s really not that hard. The truth is, most people just don’t want to spend their time on it, especially since it involves a class that isn’t exactly the most popular pick.

How to get the hardest achievement in BG3

I probably don’t even need to say this, but the fastest way to get the Busker achievement in BG3 is to play as a Bard. Luckily, that’s not a problem, you can respec any time by talking to Withers at your camp. Charisma is key here, so make sure it’s at least 20 for the best results. Make sure to grab the Performance skill at level 3 and the Actor feat at level 4. That’s when people finally start tossing you some real gold.

Did you know that there was supposed to be an additional companion in BG3 with their own original story? There’s also a great Wizard weapon you can find early in the game that’s easy to miss.

You’ll also want to find a good crowd. The Elfsong Tavern in Act 3 is a top spot, but most of the Lower City works just as well (plenty of NPCs with deep pockets). And the best part is you don’t even have to pick up the gold. The game tracks it as soon as they throw it, not when you collect it. So, to be fair, the rarest achievement in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be earned in just 15–30 minutes, if you know what you’re doing.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
