Overwatch 2 Season 2 - New Hero, Map, Launch Time

The second season of Overwatch 2 starts today. Here's everything you need to know about it.

Today marks the launch of Season 2 in Overwatch 2. The new content will be available at 11 am PT. Players can look forward to a new hero, map and battle pass.

  • The character that will be added is the tank Ramattra. We brought a description of his skills, as well as gameplay, in a separate news. Here you will find a summarized history of the hero.
  • The new map is the Shambhala Monastery. It was once the home of both Ramattra and Zenyatta. In this location, players will face off in escort mode.
  • At the same time, the well-known and well-loved Rialto map will return, featuring the iconic Blizzard World.
  • The second season will also bring numerous adjustments to character balance. Fixes are expected to include Sojourn, Doomfist, Ana, Bastion, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Mercy and Symmetra.
  • From January 5 to 19, we will also be treated to a limited-time event Battle for Olympus.
  • With it in mind, skins inspired by Greek mythology will be available for many characters - such as Zeus for Junker Queen, Poseidon for Ramattra and Hades for Pharah. Unfortunately, all of them are to be available only to premium battle pass owners.

Of course, these are not all the attractions that Blizzard is preparing. A full description will be published today at 10 am PT.

Overwatch 2 is available for free on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne, XSX/S and Switch.
