Still waiting for that Egg to hatch? Check our guide on how to change Breeding Settings in Palworld.
Breeding is a fundamental mechanic in Palworld, enabling you to replicate your Pals. Through breeding, you can get various passive skills or rare subspecies. Once you acquire an Egg through natural means or by finding it in the wild, you must incubate it and wait a certain amount of time, which may take even up to multiple hours. In this guide, we will explain how to adjust Breeding Settings in Palworld to make the Egg hatching process quicker.
After placing a male and a female Pals in Breeding Farm, you’ll only have to wait a few minutes to get an Egg. They come in three different sizes:
All eggs must be placed in the Incubator to hatch. Naturally, huge eggs take the longest time to incubate. However, if you’re into breeding and aim to create the best Pal with specific traits in mind, it’s a trial-and-error process. Therefore, you don’t want to wait hours to hatch a new Pal and see results.

On normal difficulty settings, Huge Eggs take 2 hours max to hatch. If you noticed that your egg takes far more than just a few hours, check the World Settings on the server you’re on. Some of them may be set to hard mode, where the duration of egg hatching could be extended because they’re always online.
You can always ditch the hatching time by changing the ‘Time to Incubate Massive Egg’ settings to 0. This way, your eggs will hatch instantly after placing them in incubators. Whether you consider it an exploit or not is up to you to decide.
If you don’t want to mingle with game settings to get your eggs hatch quicker, there’s a way to achieve that. After placing an egg in the Incubator, the timer will start, and you’ll notice an Incubator Speed shown in % with an information about the egg’s temperature.
To achieve 100% Incubator Speed, eggs may require hot or cold environments. This can be accomplished by placing multiple coolers or heaters and assigning appropriate Pals to maintain these devices. But note that the place where your base is located also has an impact on egg hatching.
Remember that temperatures drop at night, so if you’re not getting 100% Incubator Speed with eggs that need a colder habitat, even with many coolers, wait for the day to pass.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
