It becomes more and more widespread practise to let people play a game earlier if they buy a premium edition, usually splurging considerate amount of money on it. The situation is no different when it comes to PayDay 3 that will have its official premiere in 2 days, but many players already started robbing banks. If you are one of those and you have opened the game, you might have been greeted by a question if you would like to opt in or not into telemetry. What is it? Should you enable it? We have answers for you.

Should you enable Telemetry in PayDay 3

Telemetry consent question is something that you see almost immediately after launching PayDay 3. It is nothing else than data collection that allows the developers to have more in-depth insight into how you play the game, with what setup, the way you progress through the level, etc.

Whether you should turn it on or off is basically a personal preference. If you would like to help the creators from Starbreeze studios make their game better for you and other players, you can opt into the telemetry settings. Thanks to the information that is collected, the studio can make better suited adjustments. For example, developers can improve underused weapons, make less played levels better or more fun to play, and incorporate many other corrections faster and more accurate.

On the other hand, if you are very privacy sensitive and don’t want anyone to track your activities and other data in depth, you can obviously resign from data collection.
