PayDay 3 finally got the long-awaited patch. However, it turned out to be more modest than announced and did not have a positive impact on the game's popularity.
PayDay 3 turned out to be one of the biggest disappointment of the year. Players complained both about the poor technical condition and modest content. Immediately after the release, the devs promised to fix the game, and the first patch was supposed to be released back in October. The developers failed to keep their word, but now the update has finally rolled out.
Tragic situation of PayDay 3 is best seen when the game is compared to the previous installment. Yesterday's activity record for the ten-year-old PayDay 2 on Steam amounted to 33 470 people. This means that the predecessor is now twelve times more popular on this service than the latest installment.
PayDay 3 made its debut on September 21, simultaneously on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5. The game is also available as part of a Game Pass subscription - on both PC and Xbox consoles.
