Phantom Brigade – a BattleTech-like tactical game with mechs

Fans of BattleTech may want to keep an eye on Phantom Brigade, the newly announced turn-based tactical game about mechs from an independent developer – Tetragon Works.

If you are waiting for Harebrained Schemes’ BattleTech, you may want to share your attention with a similar title. An independent developer, Tetragon Works, has recently announced Phantom Brigade – a turn-based tactical strategy. In the game, you get to command small squads of mech pilots and engage in guerilla combat fought for the liberation of a fictional country.

The machines will be highly customizable – down to such details as weapon loadout, individual pieces of armor, paint and camo, and performance tuning. However, they will become useless without their pilots, hence you need to keep them alive. On the other hand, forcing a hostile mech’s pilot to eject from his mech will let you capture the abandoned machine, thus expanding your arsenal.
