Phantom Liberty expanded on the most mysterious quest from Cyberpunk 2077, though few have noticed. We know what Peralez did

The consequences of one Cyberpunk 2077 quest only came to light after a while and, depending on the decision made, could be drastic in their effects, but few know about it.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of those games that can be overwhelming due to its complexity if it were all presented to us at once. This is one of the reasons why players from all over the world are eagerly awaiting a potential sequel to the game from CD Projekt Red. However, it is still a long way off, as on the horizon looms the recently postponed update to the first installment of the dystopian series.

The complexity mentioned earlier is also influenced by the smallest and seemingly insignificant factors, which gradually build the realism of the mechanics of the world, such as fully functioning insurance companies. In this topic, the consequences of the choices made are also important, which at first glance may go unnoticed, and only the most observant players can spot them.

Cheated politician or suspicious madman?

Such a sharp observation was recently shared with the world by LowSodiumCyberpunk - a Reddit user who posted a graphic representing the consequences of choices made during the game. They directly relate to one quest, the effects of which only become apparent at the end of the Phantom Liberty expansion.

The graphic presents two scenarios that come into effect depending on the decisions made by the player during the "Dream On" quest. In the final phase of the task, the player can decide whether to reveal the truth to Peralez or conceal crucial information at the urging of his wife. Although initially not much will change in the game world, the inhabitants of Night City will strongly feel the changes in the city's politics over the next few years.

If the future mayor learns the truth about the break-in and being manipulated by the SSI, he will become much more suspicious, which will reflect on the city's politics, as well as his marriage. The NCPD will be seriously weakened, but NetWatch, which actively fights against the people controlling Peralez, will receive support from the Night City mayor.

However, if V lies to the future mayor, his rule will be more regular. The growing influence of NetWatch will be limited, and the area in which the police will operate - expanded.

The consequences of the choice made may only be revealed during a specific ending of Phantom Liberty, in which V wakes up after two years in a coma, without Johnny Silverhand in their head, and with irreversible brain damage. However, we can learn about the consequences of our choice from a laptop in the hospital during "The Tower" ending, which many players missed.
