6 years after PUBG's release in early access, some interesting figures have been revealed, illustrating the achievements of this shooter hit. The game has been a huge success.

Debut of PUBG was one of the most important events in the world of network FPS games. The title turned out to be a hit, took up the fight for the customer with the most popular online shooters of the time and became a sales hit.

On the sixth anniversary of PUBG's early access launch, the devs presented stats, summarizing the title's achievements.

PUBG has sold a total of 75 million units in 6 years on consoles and PC. The game was distributed in 242 countries and a total of as many as 150.7 million people have played it. The game's strong position is also confirmed by the peak number of players. At the hottest all-time moment on SteamPUBG was played by 3.25 million concurrent players, which is the best result in the history of the platform.

One of the stars of the industry

One more success has to be mentioned when it comes to PUBG, and one which cannot be measured by a quantifiable scale. We are talking about the impact on the market. Both the title in question and Fortnite, have created the battle royale mode in the minds of players. As a result, both games revolutionized the FPS market, in a way forcing the competition to take up the fight in this segment. This led to the creation of, for example, Warzone.

PUBG - what is this game

It's a network FPS released on March 23, 2017 on Steam's early access. The full version was released on December 20, 2017 on PC, on September 4, 2018 on Xbox One and December 7, 2018 on PlayStation 4. The title is based on battle royale formula. Players are taken to a large map, fight each other, and the player who survives the longest wins. PUBG functions exclusively as a multiplayer title. There is also a mobile version - PUBG Mobile - which offers gameplay in the same form on smartphones.
