Rainbow Six Extraction Release Date and Gameplay From Ubisoft Forward

As announced, the Ubisoft Forward conference at E3 2021 did not lack Rainbow Six: Extraction, a spin-off of the popular shooter series. The French company presented a cinematic trailer, which revealed the release date, and some gameplay footage.

The tactical online shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Extraction, known earlier on under the subtitles Quarantine and Parasite, opened Ubisoft's Forward presentation at E3 2021. The French publisher opened the show with a cinematic trailer starring Hibana. The operator known from Rainbow Six: Siege has been captured by aliens - rescuing team members will be the main focus of the gameplay.

The trailer also revealed the expected release date, which was set for September 16, 2021. However, this is not the end of attractions - the most interesting part turned out to be the 7-minute gameplay starring three operators: Eli, Alibi, and Sledge, perfectly familiar to Siege fans. The action took place in the Orpheus research facility in Alaska, where anomalies were detected. It has been overrun by aliens (so-called archaens), such as Rooter, and the so called spread.

Rainbow Six: Extraction is an online co-op shooter for up to three players that will feature operators or gadgets known from Siege, though Ubisoft has promised new types of items and an arsenal designed with the new threat in mind. More information about the game can be found on here. The spin-off will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, as well as Google Stadia.
