In just a few hours, the PC version of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the exquisite 3D platformer from Insomniac Games, will be released.
The game is now available on PC. To mark the occasion, Sony has released a launch trailer for the port - here it is:
Today, the PC version of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will debut on the market. It's a 3D platformer originally released in 2021 on PlayStation 5 and exclusive to that console until now.
Many gamers are waiting for the game. Ratchet & Clank is one of the most famous 3D platformer series, but so far none of its installments has been released on PC. The release of the PC edition of Rift Apart will therefore be the series' debut on the platform.
There is a lot to look forward to, as the PS5 release was received very warmly. On OpenCritic the game has an average rating of 89%. The title also appealed to our editor, who gave it a score of 9.5 out of 10.
The game's release on PlayStation 5 was a big event, as it was one of the few exclusives for that console. At the time, the gamewas the best example of what the power of the PS5 offers. Despite this, the requirements of the PC version are not particularly high.
Studio Nixxes, one of the best teams specializing in porting games from consoles to PC, is responsible for the conversion, so there is a good chance that the title will not repeat the fate of the disastrous port of The Last of Us: Part I. Nixxes had previously prepared an excellent port of Marvel's Spider-Man and we're keeping our fingers crossed that the developers will deliver this time as well.
