Red Dead Online Players Point Out Unfixed Bugs and Rockstar's Negligence

Reddit has seen a flood of posts pointing out laziness of Rockstar Games and unfixed errors in RDO.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. RDR Online players are tired of the laziness and carelessness of the devs;
  2. Users point out examples of copy-paste content and numerous bugs that have still not been fixed - in some cases for several months.

Red Dead Online players regularly complain about the lack of new content and the generally small involvement of Rockstar Games in keeping the game alive. However, that's not all, because - according to Reddit users - recently the laziness of the developers is reaching new levels.

The classic proof of, let's call it, limited involvement of the devs in creating new content is the use of the same item models several times. This can be seen in the example of the "bounty hunter license", which is absolutely no different from the "prestigious bounty hunter license". The extra prestige is stored in our imagination apparently.

Gamers writing in the thread on the issue cut Rockstar Games to ribbons, also pointing out examples of several other items.

"They started slacking on that front in the Naturalist update I noticed. Look at the tonics in your satchel. All the artwork for the tonics that were there before the Naturalist update has beautiful labels with very intricate details. Now look at the tonics that came with the Naturalist...

They're so bland and uninspired. Absolutely no care was put into those — not like what they used to do — and it's painfully obvious. It sucks, cuz I always noticed and really appreciated those extra fine details," writes DragunityHero.

The evidence of obvious negligence in RDO

Copy-paste content can be disappointing, but it is not the only problem that gamers point out. Another such thing are the bugs, which have remained in the game for a very long time. A good example are the weapon belts, which for some types of clothing cause visible anomalies.

Contrary to appearances, this is not the effect of riding on horseback for too long.

Similar attitude can be seen in the case of glitch associated with the bounty hunter profession, which causes the weapon to move on the character's back after an order is completed. The bug has been present in the game for fourteen months and has still not been fixed, although in the latest update the devs have made other changes in this character class.

Bounty hunter remains bugged.

What's worse, some unfixed bugs have impact on the gameplay. The players give some examples of such problems.

"The bug that makes your advanced eagle eye degrade to a normal eagle eye after doing a legendary is also still there," writes WhatzitTooya.

"Also, 75% of the time I don't have reinforced lasso in my inventory even though I bought it a long time ago. Try completing a daily task that requires to tie bounties with reinforced lasso when you can't even equip it," CinematicSeries complains.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online - another problem is lack of testers?

Some gamers also point out that upgrades appear to not have been properly tested before their release. An example can be spurs, which cannot be mounted on a particular type of shoe, despite the fact that they are presented on the advertisement exactly on these shoes.

"What in the actual hell, Rockstar? I'm wearing the same damn boots in the advertisement! My outfit doesn't support this item? I'm getting sick of being your beta-tester for all your "Updates." Either hire people to test this stuff before you release it or pay me," complains calcobren.
