After Lethal Company’s success a bit more than a year ago, it was only a matter of time before more games would start treading the same path. Sooner than we might have anticipated, another prominent title in the same genre appeared. Content Warning was a quick hit, that sadly dwindled in popularity on Steam recently, down to a three-digit values of peak activity. Such trend didn’t scare other developers who had their own view on this topic. Only yesterday, a new contender appeared in Early Access program, striking similar vibes as its predecessors. REPO is already garnering attention of spooky-funny-horror fans, who like to share a good laugh and scream with their friends. Many of them wonder whether this production will eventually be ported to consoles like Switch, Xbox, PS4 or PS5. If you are curious what are the chances of it happening, you’re in the right place.

Console (Switch, Xbox, PS5, PS4) release of REPO

If you love video games, have a bunch of friends who share the same passion, and want to hang out while experiencing silly, horror-esque coop titles, REPO is for you. Allowing for up to 6 players cooperation, and sparking numerous hilarious situations, this production will undoubtedly let you create unforgettable memories with your close ones (especially when you try to revive them or install some mods). The problem arises, however, if your group sports various devices to play games. As of now, REPO is only available in Early Access on PC, what are the chances for it to appear on Switch, Xbox, PS5 and PS4?

The answer “it depends” should surprise no one. We have to keep in mind that this title has just made its way to EA on Steam, meaning that it’s still deep in the development process. On the store page, we can see that the creators have planned to release the full version in 6 – 12 months, yet from experience we know that it is only a blind guess that can change anytime. Why is it important? Because the chances of the console port are the highest when the game will be feature complete and launched as a final product.

Additionally, even if REPO makes it past Early Access, it all depends on its popularity and demand. If it fares well on PC during this period, and players keep asking about the port, it is more than probable that it will be made available on other platforms, too. If you would like to see this production on Xbox, PlayStation or Switch, the best thing to do right now is to simply engage with the title, bring as many people on board as possible, and voice your opinion on game’s official Discord server. Good luck!
