Resident Evil VII and Yakuza 0 – first big premieres of the year coming out today

Resident Evil VII: Biohazard and Yakuza 0 are both launching today. Check out the first two big releases of the year.

Today marks the release of two hyped games – first two big premieres of the year – Resident Evil VII: Biohazard and Yakuza 0. The latter is a prequel to SEGA’s popular “Japanese GTA” sandbox games series, which originally launched on PlayStation 3 two years ago and is now coming to PlayStation 4. As for Resident Evil VII: Biohazard, in addition to Sony’s console the game has been made available on PC and Xbox One, the latter offering the Xbox Play Anywhere option, meaning that you can play on both platforms (provided that your PC runs on Windows 10) interchangeably.

Since the first announcement, fans hoped that Resident Evil VII would restore the classic experience while adding some new features. Have the developers at Capcom managed to make it successful? The first reviews, which have been emerging online since yesterday, are very favorable. The new Resident Evil seems to have achieved a perfect balance between FPP “hide-and-seek” type of horror and action-packed survival. True, there is some combat in the game, but since bullets are scarce, usually the best thing to do when in danger is to run. Note that Resident Evil VII currently uses Denuvo Anti-tamper system.
