Fixing of The Last Oricru RPG Continues; Another Key Feature Added

The Last Oricru received patch 1.2 today, adding a minimap. The update also introduces a slew of fixes that should have been in the game before release.

Today, Czech studio GoldKnights released patch 1.2 for the action RPG The Last Oricru. In addition to a ton of more or less important fixes, which - for the most part - should have already been implemented before the release, the developer added the community's most requested feature - the minimap.

Because The Last Oricru is a rather linear game, one could say that a lack of minimap is "not a bug, it's a feature," prompting us to remember the landmarks of the locations we traverse. However, I must admit that the addition of a minimap is a good move on the part of GoldKnights.

In the game there are a couple of puzzle-tombs, the rediscovery of which - assuming we don't open them at the first opportunity - may pose some difficulties. What's more, one of them is located in the City, which at a certain stage of the adventure becomes a more or less open location. Its streets are so similar to each other that at times you can start going in circles instead of heading to your destination.

You can read the full list of changes here. Addition of missing dialogues, improving camera work in cutscenes, improving controls - one gets the impression that the game came out in early access, not in full release. Now I finally understand the meaning of the announcement issued the day after the release, in which the developers announced the beginning of the "bug hunting season".

One thing, however, cannot be denied to the Czech developer - the team listens to the opinions of fans. Last month's patch 1.1 added, for example, several new weapons, armor and shields - of which there weren't many at launch. It also introduced the ability to modify the controls, so that a single button no longer has to be used both to jump and interact with objects.

If you plan to check out The Last Oricru, know that as part of Steam's Winter Sale the game will be available for purchase 33% off.
