Does Runescape Dragonwilds have a chance to appear on consoles? The answer is ambiguous.
RuneScape Dragonwilds is a survival game set in the universe of the classic MMO, RuneScape, which is still alive in the hearts of many gamers, partially thanks to its modernized version from 2016. However, this MMORPG was always exclusive on PC. So, it's not surprising that a lot of console players are wondering whether the newest game from the franchise will even appear on platforms such as Xbox, PlayStation or Switch. We will try to answer this question.

As is very often the case with games that are released in Early Access, the default platform on which they appear is PC. One of the reasons may be that developers, thanks to this, get feedback from the community faster and gather the necessary opinions to improve their production. Moreover, taking care of multiple versions of the software on more than one platform is also troublesome. RuneScape Dragonwilds upholds this tradition. The game was released in EA on April 15 this year. So, what about consoles such as Xbox, PlayStation and Switch?
There are voices of moderators on the official Discord server, who state that such a scenario is possible. However, they are cautious in predicting whether RuneScape Dragonwilds will actually appear on other platforms. They are using the word “might” in the context of releasing this title on consoles. For the time being, developers definitely want to focus on PC. Probably only when version 1.0 is released will it be possible to think more seriously about porting the game.
What's more, a lot also depends on how the title will be received by players and how big the game's sales will be. At this point, however, it is too early to predict on which additional platforms RuneScape Dragonwilds may actually appear, if at all. Unfortunately, we have to wait for more information in the future.
