THE Essential Skyrim Mod is Here and Finally Enables Us to Pet Dogs

Skyrim has just been enriched with probably the most important of all available mods. Thanks to the Pet The Dog - Animations mod we can, you guessed it, pet dogs.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Mod Pet The Dog - Animations enables us to pet dogs in Skyrim;
  • The creator is already working on the next version, which will enable us to show love to other animals.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is a game which is known for its very extensive modding scene. Across the 10 years that went by since the game's release we had a chance to change dragons into Thomas the Tank Engine or guards into chickens. Throughout all this time, however, modders missed the most important feature which had to finally appear in the game. Fortunately, thanks to Pet The Dog - Animations mod published yesterday, players can finally pet the dogs they encounter during their travels.

In the mod's description the creator assures that his work is not a joke. As he himself mentioned, it's unique that after so many years after the game's release we still couldn't show who's a good boy in Skyrim. Fortunately, now this situation has changed. The mod introduces to the game three different animations of pettingg dogs depending on whether they are lying, standing or sitting. To activate them, just approach the encountered quadruped without a weapon and press the action button, just like when trying to start a dialogue.

Dog lovers are probably satisfied. But what about fans of cats, chickens or city guards? Fortunately, the creator of the mod is already working on its next versions, which will enable us to have friendly interactions with many other animals, objects and NPCs. Perhaps the time will come when we will be able to pet every living creature in Skyrim.
