Uncharted Movie and Ghostbusters: Afterlife Delayed

Sony has once again announced the delay of several of its movies. The list includes titles like Uncharted, starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Sony delaysthe premieres of its movies again. The film adaptation of Uncharted and the sequel to the iconic classic Ghostbusters will be delayed;
  2. Similar problems appeared with Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City;
  3. Uncharted, which is one of the most anticipated films of recent years, is set to premiere a week later than originally planned.

The pandemic has effectively thwarted the plans of many movie lovers. Not only Warner Bros. (The Batman), but also Sony suffers delays. The latter company has announced that several hot premieres will once again be postponed. This time it's about Uncharted, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and some smaller projects for the youngest audience.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the film adaptation of Nathan Drake's adventures, the main character played by Tom Holland known from the latest Spider-man series or the Netflix drama The Devil All the Time. However, Sony once again decided to move the release date, this time from February 11 to February 18, 2022. The first version assumed that the film would hit theaters on July 16, 2021. Uncharted will be directed by Ruben Fleischer, who collaborated on Venom. The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle and Antonio Banderas, among others.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife, on the other hand, will hit the silver screens later this year, however, not on June 11, as it was initially planned, but on November 11. The sequel will star Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts and Sigourney Weaver, all known from the previous installments.
