Major DLC for RPG Solasta Announced
Solasta: Palace of Ice, the next expansion for the warmly received old-school RPG from Tactical Adventures, has been announced.
Baldur's Gate 3 is, of course, the most important Dungeons & Dragons based game of the year, but version 1.0 will be released only in August. However, fans of the brand will have no reason to complain about boredom. Devs of the excellent RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister, Tactical Adventures, has announced the next DLC, entitled Palace of Ice.
- The DLC will debut on PC in May, this year.
- From the day of its release, the expansion is also to be available as part of Game Pass.
- For now, only the PC version has been announced, but it is likely that the DLC will also hit Xbox consoles at a later date.
- Palace of Ice will be a non-standalone expansion, so it will require the base Solasta to run.
Solasta: Palace of Ice will offer a new campaign for characters at levels 10-16. In it, we will travel to the frigid lands of the Snow Alliance, whose lands will become the target of an invasion by the Gallivan kingdom.
In addition to the new story the DLC will expand the character creator, enriching the list of races with gnomes and tieflings. There will also be new monsters and locations. Players will be able to import their party from previous adventures or create a new one. The campaign will be played solo or in co-op mode for up to four people.
All new locations, items and monsters offered in Solasta: Palace of Ice will also be avaiable to use in the adventure creator. In addition, along with the release of the DLC, an update will be released that will enhance the mode for free with a new world map system and the option to create NPCs who will become the players' companions. The same patch will also introduce six additional faces each for the humans, elves, dwarves, halflings and half elves.
As a final reminder Solasta: Crown of the Magister is an RPG whose ambition was to recreate the rules and atmosphere of the tabletop role-playing system Dungeons & Dragons version 5.1 as closely as possible. The developers have achieved this goal and the game has been warmly received - on Steam 83% of user reviews are positive, which is categorized as a "very positive" reception.
