It seems that Space Marine 2 update introduced some serious problems. Many players report FPS drop. Moreover, some even can’t launch the game.
We all love when our favorite games get a juicy update. Today, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 got Datavault patch with new maps, mechanics and QoL improvements (check out developers’ post on Steam to learn details). However, there is no rose without a thorn. It seems that Datavoult broke the game for many.
After the newest update, we did not have to wait long for people who started to have various issues with it. Probably the most common problem is that for some players the game is not launching at all. However, even if you manage to start, you are not safe.
Marines noticed that their performance is much worse than it used to be before the patch. They report substantial FPS drops. Some even started to experience stutters due to that, while they used to have smooth gameplay.
It is still not all, though. N-15 error is also quite common. However, it seems that in this case the issue is mostly (or only?) connected to people playing on different platforms. It might suggest that the latest patch broke something with crossplay or players have different versions of the game (as such things also happen and cause various issues).
If you think that the above is the end, you are mistaken. Fans report more bigger or smaller problems. At this point all we can do is to signal all bugs to the Saber Interactive team and hope that they will fix them soon.
