SpellForce Conquest of Eo is a turn-based strategy game taking us to a fantasy land. We play as a mage who wants to avenge his master, at the same time wishing to discover the secrets of magic. In this guide we will talk about the different aspects of spells.
The pages in the Grimoire allow you to write spells on them. You will get a few of the initial ones for free, during character creation. However, you will have to get most of them yourself. Some of them you will get as part of the story development. Others you will find in the world or receive for dialogue choices in events.
You can have a maximum of four pages of spells. Each page is more powerful than the last. In order for spells to appear on them you must first research these weaker ones. It is worth noting that you can collect a maximum of 3 pages from your initial choices. You will have to find the 4th in random events.
If you choose to create a Custom Mage, you will be able to select Primary and Secondary School. By choosing an already created character this decision is made for you. This decision affects the initial pages in your grimoire.
Your Primary school will give you 2 pages, while Secondary will give you 1. This means that you can have a maximum of 3 spellpages unlocked from one school of magic at the start.
As you explore more pages and spells you will learn new and powerful incantations, however, some are definitely more useful at the beginning than others. Below are a few that we think are extremely valuable. We have focused on those that you can acquire as early as spellpage 1.
