Paradox Announced New Grand Strategy Game Set Star Trek Universe

Paradox has unexpectedly announced a new strategy game - Star Trek: Infinite, which is expected to match in scope, for example, Europa Universalis IV. Fans of the universe have something to be excited for.

Paradox has announced a new grand strategy game set in the well-known and beloved universe - the game in question is Star Trek: Infinite. The game can be seen in the first atmospheric trailer.

Star Trek: Infinite - what do we know?

The title was announced during the Summer Game Fest 2023. A cinematic trailer was published, which can now be watched on YouTube.

The trailer manages to include numerous elements characteristic of the universe, including the Federation fleet approaching the Borg. The graphic that consitutes the last shot of the trailer, shows famous characters from Star Trek, including Captain Picard, Dukat, Spock and Gowron.

The game is being developed by Nimble Giant Entertainment, a team known for the online FPS Quantum League. Paradox is acting as the game's publisher.

A full announcement has been scheduled for June 16, this year, the so-called "Picard Day" - a holiday celebrated by crew members in the show (it was featured in episode 164, from 1994).

Star Trek: Infinite is expected to be a feast for fans of the universe

The title is to belong to the grand strategy genre. Paradox has released (and created) such games more than once in the past, such as: Hearts of Iron IV or Europa Universalis IV. Star Trek: Infinite promises to be a real feast for fans of the universe, and not just a curiosity that gamers will quickly forget about.

Star Trek: Infinite will be released on an unspecified date on PC. More details will be announced next Friday.
