Bethesda presented the trailer of the first DLC for Doom Eternal. The full announcement of The Ancient Gods Part 1, as the add-on is subtitled, will take place during this year's GamesCom.

id Software is currently working on a story expansion for Doom Eternal, the first screenshots of which were presented in May. Now, a half-minute teaser with scenes straight from the game was released. Journalist Geoff Keighley revealed on Twitter that Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods will be presented on the opening day of the GamesCom, namely on August 27 at 11 AM PT.As indicated by the addition of Part 1 in the DLC's name, it will be divided into at least two parts.
Doom Eternal was released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 20, 2020 and received very warm reviews. The good reviews also translated into satisfactory sales results for Bethesda, the game's publisher.
