The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Requiem Raises Millions on Kickstarter

The Requiem expansion for the card game The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls became a hit on Kickstarter. Players supported the project with millions of dollars, and there are still nine days left to the end of the campaign.

In recent years, it has become popular to create tabletop games based on PC and console productions. One such project is the card game The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, released in 2018. On Kickstarter, a fundraiser for an expansion titled The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Requiem is slowly coming to an end. It turned out to be a huge success, already collecting five million dollars.

This amount will undoubtedly increase a lot, because there are nine days left to the end of the action. The minimum goal was set at a mere 100 thousand dollars, so the creators have great reasons to be happy.

It is worth noting how much better the expansion is doing in terms of crowdfunding than the basic version. The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls raised a little over 2.6 million dollars in total on Kickstarter. The expansion is about to double that amount.

Unfortunately, it'll be some time before The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Requiem is released, because its launch is scheduled for June 2022. The expansion will offer more than fifty new cards and more than 19 additional playable characters. Also the game mechanics will be enriched with fresh solutions.

Waiting for the expansion's release can be made more pleasant by playing Repentance, the latest expansion to the PC and console game The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. The DLC was released in March this year on PC and met with a very warm reception. Dedicated ports are currently in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
