The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is a strange dark story about siblings. Many people, bored of the traditional stories, decided to give this production a chance. Well… 96% of positive reviews on Steam seems to confirm that Kit9 Studio did a good job. However, the game is not ready yet. Even Chapter 3, which was released a few days ago is not finished. Let’s talk about Chapters and when to expect more content.
The Coffin of Andy and Leyley – when to expect Chapter 4
Let’s start with Episode 3 release schedule. Now we can play Episode 3 Decay (part 1/2). It is complete. However, the game ends in cliffhanger and its continuation will be in Chapter 4 Decay (part 2/2). In one of the posts, the creator announced that the development of this part of the story can even take another year. And it is hard to estimate a precise date, so we must be patient. However, we may risk an assumption that we should see it in the first half of 2026 or sooner (if everything goes well).
The Coffin of Andy and Leyley –Chapter 3 explained
As was stated, Chapter 3 is not completed. As of now, we have one branch of it – Decay, which will be later continued in Episode 4. The alternative route of Episode 3 is called Burial. The good news is that the story is fully written. However, development has not started yet.
When will it begin? It seems that after completion of Chapter 4 and end of Decay route. So, don’t hope for it to appear anytime soon. Considering that finishing Episode 4 can take even a year (let’s hope not longer), we can expect Chapter 3 Burial no sooner than 2026, maybe even 2027. Later, if we are unlucky.
However, it seems that Burial will end at Chapter 3, as there is no information from the developer that a continuation of this branch is planned.
