The Complete Travels of Geralt on a Single Map

All of Geralt's travels throughout the books and games set in the Witcher universe on a single graphic? Why not. One artist undertook to create just such an illustration and the effect is impressive.

In books and games, Geralt has covered quite a lot of ground on the Continent. One of the fans of the series decided to collect all the journeys from The Witcher on one map and, surprisingly, despite the many routes traveled it looks quite clear.

Books and games summarized

Mikhail "uyle" Sergeyev, the author of the map, shared details about the process of its creation on Behance. As he writes, he took into account only the journeys described in books and video games.

The map does not include any events that took place before the plot of the series, as well as those told by sources other than those mentioned above.

But without further ado, below you can see a grid of all the "trips" that Geralt took. At the bottom you will also find the legend of the map.

Different versions of the map

If you are particularly interested in a map that relates to a specific part of the series, then uyle has created several smaller maps in addition to the general map. You can find them on the artist's website.

It is worth noting that the maps do not necessarily reflect 100% of Geralt's actual route throughout The Witcher. The author points out that he had to simplify some elements in order to maintain the appropriate aesthetics of the work. On this subject, it should also be mentioned that the map on which Uyle has set Geralt's travels draws from several sources:

"The map was created largely based on a map prepared by the staff of the Department of Political and Historical Geography at the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Warsaw. As well as with the help of other fan maps and official maps of CD Projekt RED."

The artist did not share how long it took him to create the map, but we can guess that the task was quite complicated. Nevertheless, the work looks amazing and will definitely appeal to fans of The Witcher.

At the end it is worth mentioning that the fans of the series have already attempted to create a similar map earlier, but in terms of transparency, the one created by uyle is incomparably better.
