The highly anticipated Cataclismo scored a successful but not stunning release on Steam. The game is getting great reviews from players, but activity results are so far lower than expected.
Cataclismo, a strategy game that combines city building and tower defense elements, was released in early access on Steam yesterday afternoon. The title was eagerly awaited, so it's worth examining how its launch unfolded.
Of course, no one expected records at the level of Manor Lords (173,000), but Norland, published a week earlier by the same publisher, boasts a "peak" of 11,000 players simultaneously, and aiming for such a result could be considered realistic.
Many players haven't had the opportunity to fully engage with the game since it was released on Monday. We will return to the topic after the next weekend and then we will try to draw additional conclusions about how Cataclismo performs on Steam.
Cataclysmo was released only on PC. Currently on Steam, the game can be purchased for $23.99 and this is a discounted price, reduced by 20% to celebrate the release. The offer will remain valid until August 5th. The devs predict that Cataclismo will spend about a year in early access.
