The original Dungeon Keeper free on Origin

Electronic Arts is offering the cult classic Dungeon Keeper for free on Origin. You'd do best to get the game right away, since the special offer is time-limited.

Every now and then Electronic Arts offer up a free PC game in their On the House promotion on Origin. This time they are giving away Dungeon Keeper, a cult classic strategy from Peter Molyneux’s Bullfrog Productions, originally released in 1997. While at that time all sorts of dungeon crawlers were sprouting out in great numbers, Dungeon Keeper put the player on the other side of the barricade – instead of raiding a dungeon, you had to protect it by building enforcements, setting traps, and populating endless corridors with hideous monsters. Note that the game is only available for free for a limited time.

Will you take up the challenge of Dungeon Keeper?

EA’s On the House program started in March 2014. The first game in the offer was Dead Space, one of the best survival horrors in the publisher’s catalogue. Since then, Origin users could pick up over twenty games (not to mention Battlefield 4 DLCs), including Battlefield 3, Dragon Age: Origins, Ultima 8, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge expansion, Jade Empire: Special Edition, Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012), Medal of Honor: Pacific Assaulta and – most recently – Nox.
