The Witcher 4 in action can look this good on base PS5. CD Projekt Red showcases the future of the best-selling RPG series
We've lived to see a presentation of The Witcher 4, actually a tech demo that shows what the next installment of the bestselling series by Polish studio CD Projekt Red might look like.

As announced yesterday, CD Projekt RED was featured in the Unreal Fest Orlando 2025 event, revealing new video footage from The Witcher 4. This unique tech demo shows the capabilities of the engine utilized by the newest installment of this best-selling series.
As you probably know, this technology is Unreal Engine 5 (its latest version 5.6 was presented at the event), which the Polish company is developing in cooperation with Epic Games. The goal is to eliminate the biggest problems of this technology, starting with stuttering.
The Witcher 4, released no earlier than in 2027, will focus on "ambiguous" choices in line with the "Eastern European mentality". The fact that the decision to make Ciri the main character appeared in as early as 2014, testifies to how well thought out this project is.
Moreover, The Witcher 4, like Cyberpunk 2, is set to showcase the true scale of CD Projekt RED's ambition. The Polish studio also aims to become a global developer of pop culture and entertainment, and both of these games are a proof of this incredibly ambitious undertaking.
