A video game about Tintin will be created.

Video game publisher and developer Microids (responsible for the Siberia series, among other titles) has announced that it is partnering with Moulinsart, a company that owns the rights to a brand of cult comics by Georges Remi - The Adventures of Tintin - about the reporter and traveller Tintin and his dog companion.

Thus, we learned that there will be an action adventure game presenting the fate of protagonist of the iconic comic book series. The game is to be developed for PCs and yet unspecified consoles. Apart from Tintin and his dog companion, we will see Captain Haddock and Professor Calculus, among others.

This is how Mircoids' CEO, Stéphane Longeard, has commented on the collaboration:

"We are extremely happy to work on this co-production! We have been willing to make this happen for quite some time. This announcement is the result of a creative process allowing us to define precisely how this project will take shape and the two companies will interact. This really is a dream come true for us. The adventures of Tintin transported millions of readers worldwide and this opportunity will allow us to put our talents at the service of one of the biggest creators of the 20th century and its inked hero: Our team members are fans of the famous reporter and will do their best to pay this franchise a vibrant homage. We can’t wait to kick-off this project!”

The title of the game, its details and concept arts will be revealed soon.
