Total War: Warhammer might get a Beastmen DLC soon

Beastmen as a playable faction may be the content of next DLC for Total War: Warhammer. This has been teased on the game's Facebook page by Creative Assembly.

It seems that Total War: Warhammer will soon get the Beastmen as a new playable faction – this has been teased by Creative Assembly on the game’s official Facebook page. The studio posted a lore-based letter addressed to Markus Wulfhart, the Imperial Huntsmarshal. The writing describes a mysterious threat that, in a way, leads us to believe Beastmen are involved. Here is a fragment of the message:

Alas, it is too late for the folk of Mittelwig. I came across the hamlet to find the buildings burnt and no sign of the villagers. They have scattered… or were taken. While that is not conclusive proof in itself of what we fear, on further investigation I found the small Sigmarite shrine desecrated; destroyed beyond any semblance compared to the ruined tavern and smallholdings. Tracks disappeared into the Drakwald. Some prints were from men and women no doubt; others were not. (…) Bring your bow of amber, it will be needed.

Not long ago a leak suggested that the third DLC for Total War: Warhammer is to add the Beastmen to the roster of playable races. Besides, the mention of a bow of amber in the letter suggests that Markus Wulfhart might also show up in the game as a new Hero or Legendary Lord.

There have been two pieces of DLC for Total War: Warhammer so far: Chaos Warrior Race Pack and Blood for the Blood God animation pack. Beside paid add-ons, Creative Assembly have lots of free content in store, including new units, heroes, lores of magic, legendary lords, and a new playable race. Although we can’t be sure which category will the Beastmen fall into, it will more likely be a paid DLC.
