Total War: Warhammer - Realm of the Wood Elves DLC coming out in December

Realm of the Wood Elves is the next paid DLC for Total War: Warhammer. The expansion pack will introduce another playable race, legendary lords and a mini-campaign

Before players get to command the Bretonnian forces in Total War: Warhammer some time in 2017, the roster of playable factions in this grand strategy game will be expanded by Wood Elves. SEGA and Creative Assembly have announced the Realm of the Wood Elves DLC, coming out on December 8, 2016. The upcoming expansion pack is said to be the biggest one so far. The aforementioned faction will come along with a mini-campaign, and two legendary lords: Orion the elven king and Durthu, one of the mightiest Treemen.

As the first elven race in Total War: Warhammer, Wood Elves will be played a bit differently from other factions. Though dwelling in the forests, they will be able to capture settlements and set up outposts. In battle, elves rely on skillful archers and wild creatures – in the trailer above you can see them mounting huge eagles and deer-like animals. It is also noteworthy that although elves can inflict a lot of damage, they are fragile themselves. Head over to the expansion’s Steam page to find an in-depth description of the new content.
