Two Point Museum has been out for over a week now, and honestly, it’s exactly what we needed. Who knew that after running a hospital and a university, managing a museum would be such a perfect next step? The game is an instant hitplayers are flooding it with positive reviews and already begging the devs for an amusement park next. And really, that’s no surprise, especially after the letdown that was Planet Coaster 2. So if you’re still undecided about trying Two Point Museum, let me tell you why it’s worth it.

Two Point Museum is hilarious, addictive, and full of surprises

If you’re not into loads of witty humor, quirky events, and tons of creative freedom, Two Point Museum might not be your thing. But if that’s right up your alley, chances are you’ll end up sinking way too many hours into it.

It’s not just a very engaging gameplay – it’s all the little details and fun ideas packed into this tycoon game that make it shine. It strikes the perfect balance between classic museum themes and wild, imaginative exhibits, giving you plenty of creative freedom to build something unique.

For example, why settle for a boring old prehistoric bone display when you could have an entire room dedicated to cheese – like this one from reddit? Because who wouldn’t want to explore the fascinating world of dairy?

But it’s not just about little silly things, it’s also the must-have features and small touches that make a difference. Like, there’s an automatic pause option you can turn on for when you step away from the game, so you don’t come back to total chaos. Plus, it even gives you a little message when it kicks in:

We noticed that you haven’t – umm – done anything, for a while!

The game paused automatically before (hopefully) things got out of hand.

Features like this make it obvious that the devs actually play their own game and know exactly what we need.

The security office has one-way windows, fish tanks need careful planning to make sure the right fish go together, and the whole aquarium setup takes a lot of care and attention – just like in real life.

However, nothing is perfect, and while some players are calling it the best business sim ever, there are definitely a few things that could be better. For one, there’s no undo button, so messing up can be a bit frustrating. And honestly, how cool would it be to walk through your own exhibits in first-person, like in Manor Lords? Fingers crossed they will add it in the future.

If I’ve even slightly convinced you to pick up Two Point Museum, maybe hold off until tomorrow, there’s a chance it’ll get a discount with the Steam Spring Sale. But if you’re waiting for a Switch version, well… that one might take a while.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
