Despite the ongoing legal battle with Nintendo, Palworld is still going strong, recently hitting an impressive player count across all platforms. So, what’s next for this surprise hit over a year after launch in early access? Back in January, the devs revealed a roadmap, and now we finally have more details on crossplay, something fans have been asking for nonstop.

Crossplay in Palworld is coming back soon and this time for real

Palworld first dropped on PC and Xbox in January 2024, with a PlayStation 5 release following in September. Since then, it’s had tons of updates and new content, but with the latest roadmap, it looks like Pocketpair is finally gearing up to add the ending scenario – setting the stage for a full launch.

And the big question on everyone’s mind answered in today’s post on Xcrossplay is officially on the way. It’s set to roll out in a late March update, and to celebrate, Palworld is currently 25% off on Steam and the PlayStation Store.

But here’s the funny part, I was absolutely sure crossplay was already in the game. And it turns out, I wasn’t wrong. Apparently, Pocketpair had actually implemented it not long ago, possibly by accident, and then removed it after a month. Maybe it was an unintentional sneak peek, or maybe they were just testing things behind the scenes. Either way, it’s finally coming back for real this time, and we won’t have to wait much longer.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
