The Necropolis League can make the combat in Path of Exile more challenging then ever. With a new system that grants buffs to monsters, you can collect their corpses and use them at the Graveyard to create powerful and legendary gear. Check out our guide, where we explain the Unresolved Anguish modifier and how you can assign it to a monster.

What is Unresolved Anguish in PoE

Unresolved Anguish is a monster modifier, introduced in the latest Path of Exile patch, the Necropolis League. Monsters with this perk leave behind corpses after being defeated. These corpses are collected by the Undertaker Arimor and used in a new crafting system at the Graveyard.

How to assign Unresolved Anguish to a monster

Upon entering a new zone during Necropolis League, a window will pop up with the Lantern of Arimor UI, showing you every monster that can appear along with a list of available Haunted Spirits. These modifiers grant buffs to the monster they’re attached to. You can swap them to affect different monsters to create more manageable encounters or to make it a real challenge.

Monsters haunted by spirits have a chance to possess the Unresolved Anguish modifier, you can’t choose it on your own, so not every opponent that you defeat in the game will leave behind corpses to be collected. Each Haunted modifier has multiple tiers. With higher tier, there’s a greater chance of monster having Unresolved Anguish.
