Warframe: New War Expansion Release Date Revealed
Warframe devs have announced that the New War expansion will debut this December. The Prime Resurgence event, on the other hand, will launch next week with some interesting items to collect.
- November 16th: Start of a 10-week event enabling us to acquire discontinued classic armors;
- November 30: stream with the release of the cinematic trailer for the New War DLC;
- December: release of New War, simultaneously on PC and consoles.
Digital Extremes has finally revealed when we can expect the release of New War, the next expansion for the popular action RPG Warframe. The expansion will debut in December. Unfortunately, the exact date was not provided. Recall that the project was announced in July this year, but no even an approximate date was provided at the time.
New War is to appear simultaneously on all hardware platforms, that is, on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The devs boast that it will be the biggest story expansion in the history of Warframe.
However, fans of the game will not have to wait until next month for new attractions. Already on November 16, the devs will launch the Prime Resurgence event, which is to prepare players for the arrival of the new expansion. The event will enable us to obtain classic warframes that has been taken out of circulation, along with the associated weapons. Each week will offer a different set of items to unlock by completing quests for a character known as Varzia.

Digital Extremes has also announced that on November 30, Twitch will host a cinematic trailer for Warframe: New War. The broadcast will start at 7 am PT. During the stream additional details about the expansion will also be revealed.
