Co-op survival Abiotic Factor finally reached 1.0 update. This version introduced many interesting elements like Torii (with its own secret), portal worlds or residence sector. So, if you have not tried it yet, or had a long break, it is a good moment to give this game a chance. Of course, a key factor in survival productions is knowing where exactly to build a base.

A good base needs to fulfill several conditions. Otherwise, its usefulness is doubtful. So, when looking for a place, you should keep in mind a few factors.

1. It should be in a relatively safe space. Choose places where enemies spawn rarely.
2. Many elements of your base require electricity. So, you should choose a room with access to many plugs. In theory, you can use Plug Strip, but it has some limitations.
3. The room should have as few doors as possible. This will simplify defense and reduce resources needed for barricading.

Cafeteria

Now let's talk about the real locations that can be used as a base. The best choice is Cafeteria – especially security room, next to the entrance. The list of pros here is long. It has only two entrances and enemies are rarely seen there. Moreover, office sectors are in the middle of the facility, so you can easily return to this place. A big advantage is also access to the water and the train station.

Sadly, there is a downside of this place – it’s small. The space is cramped, and at later stages you may run out of room. Of course, you can expand the base to include the kitchen, but the layout of this room is not the best.

Security Point

There is another good spot to build a base. It is a Security Point in the office area. You will find it near the entrance to Manufacturing West. It’s definitely bigger than Cafeteria and has plenty of space to store items. But there are some downsides. It’s further from water and trams. In addition, the lower level does not have sockets.
