Let's Watch WitcherCon

Today marks the beginning of the first day of WitcherCon. In this post you'll find the broadcast start times, a selection of places where you can watch them, and a list of panels that will be part of the event.

Today marks the beginning of WitcherCon, a virtual event for The Witcher fans. The event is organized jointly by the studio responsible for the video games, CD Projekt RED, and Netflix, which creates TV adaptations of the series. The Polish developer has already informed that it has no plans to announce any new games, but the event should still offer a lot of interesting things for the fans.

The event will be divided into two streams. The first broadcast will start today at 10 AM PT. You'll be able to watch WitcherCon live at the following locations:

  1. CD Projekt RED's Twitch channel
  2. Netflix's Twitch channel
  3. CD Projekt RED's YouTube channel
  4. Netflix's YouTube channel

Day one (July 9, from 10 AM PT)

The Witcher Season 2: Deck of Destiny

The event will open with a panel on the second season of The Witcher series. Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and some of the cast (including Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan) will be drawing fan questions from a deck of cards and talking about the production process.

Welcome to Gwent

All indications are that this is simply meant to be an introductory video for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. Many Netflix viewers will watch the broadcast, so it's a good opportunity for CD Projekt RED to advertise their card game.

Converging Destinies

In this section, Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) and Freya Allan (Ciri) talk about their experiences filming the first season and what awaits their characters in the second series.

Memories from the Path: Stories Behind The Witcher Games

In the next panel, a group of developers from CD Projekt RED will discuss the history of creating the Witcher games and reveal some "forgotten artifacts" from the development of these projects.

Geralt of T-Rivia

In this section, game and series creators will test their knowledge of The Witcher, taking part in a quiz about the brand's universe.

Inside Kaer Morhen

Material about Kaer Morhen, the seat of the Witcher school of the Wolf.

Monster Slayer presentation

True to its title, this will be a presentation of The Witcher: Monster Slayer, a mobile AR game that is set to debut in less than two weeks.

The World of The Witcher Figures

A panel devoted to figures based on The Witcher.

Tales of the White Wolf: An Interview with Henry Cavill

The first stream will end with a conversation with Henry Cavill, who plays Geralt in the TV series. The actor promises a few surprises. Fans are hoping that one of them will be the premiere date of the second season.

Day two (July 10, from 6 PM PT)

On the second day, many elements from the previous broadcast will be repeated, but there will also be new material.

The Witcher: Beyond Video Games

This section will be devoted to upcoming comics and board games set in the universe of The Witcher.

Memories from the Path: Stories Behind The Witcher Games - Part 2

On Saturday, we will also see the second part of the panel with CD Projekt RED developers recalling the history of creating The Witcher games.

Strokes of Genius

This is by far the most important part of the second day of WitcherCon. It will be devoted to the animated feature film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.
