Stop searching for manual save in ENA Dream BBQ, it’s just not there. Check the autosave status instead.

ENA fans waited over three years for a game based on the animated shorts, and when ENA Dream BBQ finally launched, it was an instant hit with almost 99% positive reviews. And that was just the first chapter of the game. Luckily, it looks like we won’t have to wait too long for the next one, and maybe this time we’ll see even more bizarre characters. But right now, players have one big question: how do you save your progress? Let’s settle this once and for all.
Check out our other ENA Dream BBQ guides on the console release, multiplayer and co-op modes, and how to solve the maze puzzle.
Unfortunately, there’s no manual save option in ENA Dream BBQ, so the game saves your progress automatically at certain points. The catch is, we’re not exactly sure when or why it happens, which can make things a bit frustrating – especially if you’re deep into a puzzle and unsure if it’s safe to quit. But don’t worry, there’s an easy way to check when the last autosave happened.
To find out, just open the pause menu, and you should see a notification showing how long it’s been since the last autosave. It happens whenever you make some noticeable progress in the game. If the last autosave wasn’t too long ago, you should be fine to exit without losing much progress. But if it’s been a while, that’s a good sign that you haven’t reached a proper save point yet, meaning the part you’re working on probably isn’t finished.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
