FPS with RPG elements, Atomfall, is the biggest release in the history of Rebellion studio. Developers present an interesting story based on Windscale fire – British nuclear event from 1957. However, this doesn't mean that the game is perfect. On the contrary, some mechanics can be frustrating. Disarming is ideal but not the only example, as managing inventory is also a nightmare! Yes, some elements of this production can be tiresome. To the list we should add upgrading weapons too. Today we will talk about Gun Oil which is needed in this process.

Gun Oil in Atomfall

Atomfall gives you a tool to upgrade your gun, but you must unlock this mechanic first. To do this, you need to acquire a skill called Gunsmith. When you obtain this perk, you can begin crafting process. However, it won't be that easy. You must have two copies of the weapon, some scraps and Gun Oil. The latter is particularly problematic.

Gun Oil is not as rare as you might expect. You can find this item randomly in the locations you visit during the adventure. So, you should look closely at the shelves around you – especially when you are in the bunkers. Of course, you can also find this resource occasionally when you loot corpses.

In the first part of the game, Gun Oil looks useless, but when (and if) you finally unlock the ability to upgrade weapons, you will need it in large amounts. So, you should collect this item from the beginning. This will reduce the grind later.
