If you can’t crack it on your own, check out our Cookie Jam guide. We’ve got the answer to “Lights up the day and warms your skin”.
It’s Friday, and you know what that means – new Buzzwords in Cookie Jam. Just like last week, we’re diving into some summer-themed hints. We kicked things off with “This person brings you to your table,” then was “Hard gift from the ocean,” and now it’s time to tackle “Lights up the day and warms your skin.” If this one’s giving you trouble, don’t worry, I’m here to help.
It wasn’t as tricky as the last hint, but long Buzzwords feel like a bit of a gamble to me. I’m always worried I’ll misspell something. So, without further ado, here’s the answer:
And now for a quick technical fact: sunshine warms our skin because of the infrared radiation it carries. Sunlight is made up of different types of electromagnetic rays, including visible light, ultraviolet (UV) rays, and infrared rays. When sunlight hits our skin, the infrared rays transfer energy to the molecules in our skin, causing them to move faster. This increased molecular motion is what we feel as warmth. That’s why standing in direct sunlight feels warmer than standing in the shade, even if the air temperature is the same. While UV rays don’t produce heat, they can still damage the skin and cause sunburn, so even on cool, sunny days, it’s important to protect yourself.
If you're stuck on any other Cookie Jam Buzzwords, don’t forget to check out our guides. We cover nearly every hint each weekend, including this week’s “Travel in a car or an RV,” and many more.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
