Microsoft has prepared a pleasant surprise for Game Pass subscribers. The American giant, without prior announcements, has introduced two games to the service: Remnant: From the Ashes and Remnant 2. The latter hit the market earlier this year.

There is much to be excited about, as the titles developed by Gunfire Games have gathered a lot of fans and received great reviews.

  1. The first part of Remnant debuted in 2019. On Steam the game was played by a maximum of 48,289 players.
  2. Remnant 2 outclassed its predecessor. This July, the game attracted as many as 110,856 users of Valve's platform in all-time peak. The game also recently received a DLC titled The Awakened King.
  3. Both works of Gunfire Games boast many positive reviews on Steam. The first Remnant can boast 84.87% of positive reviews (based on nearly 49,000 comments), while Remnant 2 is praised by 84.90% of users (nearly 42 thousand reviews).

Both titles are action games with RPG elements, so it is the fans of these genres who will be primarily pleased with Microsoft's surprise. They are also often classified as soulslike representatives.

If you're not really interested in playing these games as part of a Game Pass, you can also purchase them for your Xbox at a discounter price. Currently Remnant: From the Ashes is up for grabs on Microsoft Store for $12, and Remnant 2's standard edition for $40. The offer ends tomorrow.

In addition to Xbox and PC consoles, both games are also available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The first part of the series was also released on Nintendo Switch.
